Fishing

Saturday afternoon, Papa and Daddy went fishing at the pond. After they left, Paul David wanted to go, too. We grabbed the Cars Fishing Pole and headed that way.

Papa's been feeding the fish forever, so as soon as you throw the hook in the water with something on it, you get a bite...then you get a fish. I lost count of how many fish Papa caught and threw back!

This is some kind of Brim that they kept catching:

They had bought a bag of live minnows, and Paul David LOVED the Baby Fish! At first, he wouldn't touch them at all...just look and said, "Awww, Baby fish are so cute!"

Later, he got brave and started catching them for Papa and Daddy (since the fish were eating and running from them!) He became the Minnow Catcher...except, he would put them in his hands and PET them...it was hilarious!

It started raining pretty hard, so we got out of there after awhile. Papa caught 2 HUGE catfish and Barry caught 1, so they had something to show for their day of fishing in the rain. Paul got to clean his first fish...I didn't get any pictures of that because GROSS...I was having a hard time just peeking every now and then!

Judson and Hampton at 10 months

I'm getting pretty bad at getting Judson's pictures made with Hampton. I was wanting to try to take them outside this time, so that made it more difficult to make time. This morning, I decided to finally just DO IT before he turns 11 months:)

So here they are...

I had a different outfit on him, but then I went and looked at Paul David's baby book. I decided to change him into the same outfit Paul David was wearing in his 10 month pictures with Hampton.

It's so fun to see Judson wearing the same clothes that Paul David wore! Don't get me wrong...it's fun to get Judson new clothes, too, but there's something very sweet and special about seeing both my babies in the same thing...takes me back:)

Trip Down Memory Lane

When I got out Paul David's baby book to look to see what he'd worn at 10 months with Hampton, Paul David was VERY interested in it. He sat and looked at the whole book forever. We talked about when he was a baby, when he was in my belly, and when he was in the hospital. He then decided to lift my shirt and try to get back in my belly. Judson thought it was hilarious when he'd put his head under my shirt, then come out! We had a lot of fun going back and looking at Baby Paul David...he's so concerned though that he didn't have hair. Any time there was a picture of him with a little hair, he'd say, "See, I had hair!"

Judson and His Lovey

Judson LOVES his Monkey Lovey. When you hand it to him, he just beams! If he's dropped it in the car and needs to go to sleep, he'll fuss and scream. When you give it back to him, you don't hear a peep from him, and he goes to sleep. They have a special bond...

Judson FINALLY got his big top teeth in, and since then he has been the BEST BABY EVER! He rarely fusses and loves to play...especially with the old cell phones, remotes, baseball bats, etc. He's also been sleeping through the night again. It's amazing what those tubes have done for us! He's giving hugs now, and the other day blew me a kiss...awww! He's just the sweetest thing, and I can't get enough of him!

Paul David's Haircut

Last week, I finally got up the energy to attempt to take Paul David to get a haircut! It was long overdue, eventhough I thought his hair looked adorable...it was getting SO HARD to comb. Plus, he needed a summer do for the pool! Anyway, our last attempts had not been so great, so I was nervous. I talked about it for two days before we went.

I took him to this place called Sharp Cuts...somewhere we'd never been which was the point because I had decided just to start hopping all over town with my screaming child who HATES haircuts. As we go in, I tell him that the place is called Sharp Cuts, and I bet his hair is going to look sharp when he was done!

HE DID SO WELLLLLLL! I was so impressed with him. The girl was super fast, and he sat so still...I was soooo proud!

As we're walking out, Paul David says as he's touching his hair, "Mommy, my hair's not sharp!"
HA! I explained that sharp is like being cool! Oh...

It's so much better, and it still has a little curl to it! I'm just so excited that he was so good for it...maybe now, we can go back to someone we know and like:)

Bathtime Happiness

Bathtime has become...

a Happy Time again!

They both are enjoying their time playing together in the water...

even smiling every once in awhile...

which makes us all more excited for summer and swimming...I was a bit worried:)

Nana Visits Again

Nana came to town this week, and the Easter Bunny sent some more things with her! Paul David was super excited about his Spiderman in the Black Costume:
