Pictures from Judson's Tubes

Right before they took Judson, Daddy was walking around with him. He was getting a little impatient:

Can't you see why the nurses were fighting over who would carry him back?
He soooo cute!

His ID tag:

Our cranky boy on the way home:

He was NOT happy!

Yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon, he was a little clingy, but still very happy to be playing! Paul even commented that he thought that it was the happiest he'd seen him in a long time!

Today (Wednesday), he woke up in a great mood. I decided to go ahead and take him to Bible Study. The nursery workers were SO excited to have him back! I heard one of them screaching out "JUDSON" as I walked away! They're so awesome and LOVE these babies! I had saved his bottle for them so that hopefully, he would go to sleep on it and take a little nap for them.

When I picked him up, he was sitting in the high chair having some snacks. They said that he had an AMAZING day! He had not even made a peep and NOT napped! They could for sure tell a difference.

This afternoon, he napped for 3 hours, and now he's just playing by himself on the floor. He's just so happy and content. Thank you to whoever invented ear tubes...I will be forever grateful!

Peep

I love Peeps. Sunday, Paul David started talking about Baby Bunnies, and I showed him a picture of some Peeps in the Target ad. He wanted one he said! Well, if he's my child, he's going to LOVE them. On Monday, Paul went to Wal-Mart for a few things and remembered the Peeps!

HE LOVED THEM!

I had to stop him at 3!

He calls them his Baby Bunnies!

He's really getting into Easter this year...

well, except for the whole hunting thing...we're still working on that!

Do you enjoy Peeps?
Do you have a favorite Easter Candy?

Paul LOVES Cadbury Cream Eggs and Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs!
I love the Peeps and Snickers Eggs!
Paul David so far loves the Peeps, any chocolate egg, jelly bean, and just about any kind of candy he can get his hands on!

Easter Bunny

Paul took off work on Monday, so after Paul David got out of school, we headed to the Mall to see The Easter Bunny!

Judson was like NOT SO MUCH!!!!!

Poor baby was shaking he was so scared!

Paul David was super cool about it! He just hopped right up there and gave us a great smile!

To see Paul David's last 3 Easter Bunny pictures, go here and look.

Funny Paul David story...
He had an Easter Egg Hunt at school on Monday. We had to send 6 filled eggs, so I got some Easter Smarties to put in his eggs. I used the eggs Sunday to take some pictures of them, so he had been playing with them most of Sunday. Sunday night I filled them and gave him a smartie to eat. I went to put Judson's PJ's on and get his bottle ready, and when I came back he had gotten into 4 of the eggs and eaten the smarties. UGH! We refilled them and talked about that they were for his friends...which he was vocally AGAINST! I explained the whole egg hunt process!

So, Monday morning, he repeatedly told me that he did not want us to take his eggs to school. We took them anyway, but I warned his teachers that he was not really understanding this whole egg hunt thing.

When we picked him up from school, his note said that he did in fact have trouble with the egg hunt. He was LOOKING FOR HIS EGGS THE WHOLE TIME! He only got 1 egg in his basket! He told me this, and said that he couldn't find his eggs. I explained again that his friends found his eggs, and he found his friend's eggs. He said, "No, let's go back and get my eggs!" I even showed him all the fun candy he got in his eggs. Still didn't help.

So, we go see the Easter Bunny. As we're waiting, he asks me, "Does HE have my eggs?"

DOES NOT GET IT!

Anyone have any suggestions on explaining this egg hunt thing?

There's an update on Judson under this post!

Judson's Tubes

We got to the Surgical Center at 7:15 this morning. Judson never made a fuss all the way down there...which surprised me since he hadn't eaten since 11:30 last night! They immediately got our information and took us up to get ready! We met with everyone, and they were IN LOVE with our Judson! They were fighting over who was going to take him back! The doctor got there about 8:15, and they were ready! Judson didn't even cry when they took him back. They took us to the waiting room, and we waited maybe 10 minutes before Dr. Raynor came out to tell us that he did great and everything went fine!

In about 5 more minutes, a nurse came and got us and I could hear poor Judson screaming! That anesthesia is something else! He was crying and writhing and just overall CRANKY! He was like that until they brought the other little girl in who was crying, then he stopped crying for about 5 minutes. He drank about 5 ounces of Apple Juice and did fine with that! At about 9:00, they told us that we could leave, and when I stood up, he calmed down a lot! He fussed off and on for about 10 minutes in the car, then fell asleep until we pulled in the driveway! So sweet!

When we got in the house, he sat on me for a minute, then got down and played a little. He got back in my lap and was fussing some more so I fixed him a 4 ounce bottle. He ate some of it, then got back down. He was pulled up on the end table and fell...they said he might be a little unsteady on his feet. The bottle comforted him, and he ate it all. He was crying for more, so I fixed him 4 more ounces. He drank them all. He got back down and played forever! He even ate some Cheerios at lunch. At around 12:45, I finally laid him down for a nap...it's 2:15, and he's still sleeping!

I can't believe how well this went! I expected at least some vomit:) He already seems to feel a lot better...we shall see!

The doctor asked if we had any questions...mine was:

Can we go outside now????

YES, she said...do whatever you want!

I'm so excited!

Levi Booty

I pulled out Paul David's first little pair of Levi's, and they fit Judson perfectly!
And...they were Crazy Cute!

Our little guy is going to have his tubes put in tomorrow. We have to be there at 7:30, and he goes in at 8:30. Please pray that it all goes well and it helps! I'll update on here when we're back home and settled!

Visit with the Piks in March

The Piks came over for the day on Friday!
These pictures of Allie are cracking me up! Every time I got out the camera, I got this face from her!

She and Judson played together a lot! Judson even got a sweet kiss from her:

Finally, she got a little more comfortable with the camera:

The boys always play so well together! It's so nice because Amanda and I get to do what we love to do...TALK!

Before they left, we attempted a group photo of the five...here are a few outtakes:

Allie's face again:

FINALLY, got one where they're all looking at the camera!
(Well, my two boys both have their hands by their mouths...what's up with that??)

Good times with good friends!
We love the Piks!

Brotherly Love...or is it???

I thought we had been really lucky with Paul David adjusting to Judson. He's always wanted to hold him and tell him goodnight! He loves to help with his diapers and going to get him up from naps. Now, don't get me wrong...they've also figured out how to push each other's buttons! Paul David fusses at him all the time because he's coming toward his toy! He gets annoyed a lot!

But, the other day, Paul David let us know that this baby has really cramped his style!
Here's the modified, condensed conversation:

PD-I want an orange fish.
Me-Oh, remember that our fish is gone, and we're not getting a new one.
PD-Yes, Daddy can go get me one.
Me-No, we're not getting one. Mommy's got a baby to take care of.
PD-Let's take Judson to the hospital.
Me-What would we do with him there?
PD-Put him up there, then we can get an orange fish!

WHAT??? He's ready to trade baby brother for an orange fish.
Maybe we're not doing so well here:)

I know that it's just the way the three year old brain works, but I want to remember it so that we can bring it up later when they're older! It will be even funnier to us then!

I know that they really do love one another! They light up when they see one another! It's going to be an experience to watch them grow up together!

Spring Break in Harleton---Day 2

Nana treated the kids to lunch and fun at Chuck E Cheese! Aunt April met us there during her lunch break. Everyone had a blast and was worn out by the time we left!

Judson and Paul David had on matching t-shirts...they said, "Always Hungry!"
I thought it would be appropriate to get a picture of Judson drinking his bottle while wearing his:

Skee Ball

Paul LOVES skee ball! It's his favorite game at Chuck E Cheese. He can usually win the bonus by the time the pizza arrives, then win it again before we leave! Needless to say, we've got a lot of Chuck E Cheese junk at our house! Paul David inherited this love, but so far not the skill! He can usually put a token in the machine and it last him a good 10 minutes! He can't really get the ball all the way up the lane! At the end of the day though, he was doing really well! He had a little skee ball hand action going on! He was even getting most of the balls over the gutter on the first roll, and even got some 1000! His skill may be coming along after all!

Preston seemed so big and grown up to me that day! I think it was the shirt:)

Judson really thought skee ball was a funny game!

Kendall loves this ride...she calls it, "The princess with the bunny" ride!

Chuck E-----

This Chuck E really looks like he's trying to hug the kids!

Kendall used her tickets to get 2 hair clips...this picture was supposed to show them, but it seems it does not...cute little girl though!
Paul David used his tickets to get this lizard...that he calls his "Wizard!"and a sucker!

Preston decided to save his tickets until next time...then right before we left, decided to get something. So did everyone else in Chuck E Cheese! Nana promised to bring him back next week!

Paul David CRASHED on the way home!

Loving on Judson...her favorite thing to do:

Paul David trying to get out more of Lovey's brain...Lovey's head is so floppy now!

Sweet Smiley Boy!

Giving Nana a hug:

Preston loving on Judson:

Kendall Paige...always ready for her close up!

We had such a great time...as always!
