Miscellaneous May

 These are just some random pictures during May...mostly taken with my phone:)

We celebrated Lily's 7th Birthday at Chuck E Cheese on May 18th!

Judson insisted on getting his picture made with Chuck E, and he wanted Justin to be in the picture with him!

 About Mid-May, we joined the YMCA since it had gotten so hot outside, and we were looking for some A/C to walk in!  I snapped this of Judson in the Y entrance, but the real story is this shirt!

It was Water Day at school that day, and when I told Judson to go get dressed, he picked out this Alcatraz shirt!  He said, "This would be a good shirt for water day...they're swimming!"  HA!  If you look close, they're escaping Alcatraz!

 Judson made cupcakes with Mimi one day, and that night he declared it Lovey's Birthday (he has them OFTEN!).  He asked me if I had a candle...

 I kept Mae and Leo one day for Tammy, and I was making cupcakes for Judson's End of the Year Baseball Celebration, so Mae helped me! 

 Judson is really into writing his name right now...it is ADORABLE!!!!

 Paul David wrote a story about Mario, Luigi and Princess in class, and it was so good!  He's had to resort to writing about Mario Brothers because Skylanders is a forbidden word in his classroom!  The kids are all a bit obsessed with Skylanders, so the word is not permitted in their class!

 Judson and I got to go to Justin and Patience's End of the Year Awards Celebration. 

Judson was the HIT of the party!

 The boys and I planted some herbs...rosemary, cilantro, oregano and basil!

Swim

I would say that this was our first swim, but it wasn't they boys'.  It was mine though...May has been pretty "chilly" with a cold/cool front coming through every Wednesday night/Thursday during the month of May.  It's been very strange!  Paul decided to heat the pool even though it looked like it might rain on Saturday.  It turned out being beautiful, so we all got to enjoy the pool!!!

Harleton in May

We went to Harleton for the weekend!

Shay made homemade ice cream and peach cobbler, so we were all happy!!!

 Paul David and Preston have a common interest now...SKYLANDERS!  It's all they talk about!

Saturday night, they put all their skylanders together, then sorted them by element!

 The boys were having a ball at my dad's gun shop pretending to sell guns!

Guns, guns for sale!  Who needs a gun????

Last Day of SLC

Judson's last day of School For Little Children's Mom's Day Out!

Next year, he'll be in Preschool:(

He had a great year and loved going!  He made the cutest little friend, Max, and of course he had his school wife Charlotte in his class.  Sadly, Charlotte moved away before school ended, so I didn't get a picture of them together, but here is Judson and Max:

 And Judson and his teachers, Ms Robbin and Ms Shawna!!!!

Ms Robbin was his teacher last year, so he already had a special bond with her, but he LOVED Ms Shawna, too!  They're a great pair of ladies!!!!

Judson's Baseball Celebration

Judson's team met up at CiCi's for their End of the Season Celebration!  He had the best coaches, and they got each of them their own trophy (well, we paid for them), and they also got the Medal from the YMCA!  Judson was so proud!  When they called his name to come up, they called him the "Big Hitter," so then he kept telling everyone that he was the best hitter:)  Can't really argue with a 3 year old!

Field Trip

Paul David's class had a Walking Field Trip to our Subdivision Park (it's a very short walk on the greenbelt from the school!)  The Room Mom's had money left in the party fund, so they had the Kona Snow Cone truck come!  This truck is so cool.  They make the ice part of the snow cones in the truck, then on the side of the truck are about 10 of the flavors (you can get others from them).  

Paul David and I couldn't wait to get our Tiger's Blood Snow Cone!!!!!

Our Monarch Butterfly

One day while we were coming home from school, we had to go into Paul David's classroom to get something he had left, and he showed me the Monarch Caterpillar they had.  It was on a Milkweed Plant, and Ms Reagan told me that you can buy Milkweed plants at the local hardware store with Monarch caterpillars ON THEM...for like $2.00.  So that afternoon, we picked up Judson and headed to buy us some Milkweed Plants!!!

We got 2 plants, and we had 3 caterpillars, but I didn't realize that they'd fall to their death...so next time, I'll put them where they'll fall onto dirt or a towel or something!

ANYWAY, we had one caterpillar that made himself into a chrysalis and lo and behold...a 

MONARCH BUTTERFLY:

We planted the Milkweed Plants in a planter outside, and we've seen several butterflies flying around it...and now they're blooming these pretty red and yellow flowers!  Best $4.00 ever!!!!  We're hoping that we find some new Monarch Caterpillars in the Spring on our plants!

Padres Tournament Game

The Padres played the Angels in the first round of the Tournament.

Almost every time we went to Paul David's game in the evening, this happened:

Visit from the Cousins

We had a fun surprise when Ella, Getta, April, Preston and Kendall came down for the night!

They got to see two of Paul David's games and one of Judsons!

 After their games on Saturday, the kids tried to swim.

It was cold though since that cold front had come through, but they swam anyway for about 20 minutes!

 Poor Ella wanted in so badly, but it was just way too cold!

 Kendall didn't mind though!

It was such a fun weekend!!!

Derby Day

Paul David's Field Day at school is called Derby Day!

They had tshirts made for it, but a bizarre cold front blew through and it was COLD that day, so all the kids had on jackets covering up their cool Derby Day shirts:(
