Middle of the Week Vacation

Paul David and I took a little vacation to my parent's during the week this week. We got there in time for lunch on Tuesday, and in time to see our first round of rain! Oh, Joy!

That evening, we got to visit with an old friend (old meaning I've known her a long time, not that she's old!) Racheal and her little girl, Riley! Racheal's about 12 weeks pregnant, so we talked and caught up. It was so nice to just be able to pick up with one another so easily! Later, Georgetta came over bringing boxes. We all (Getta, Mother, April, Kendall, and I) started clearing out the kitchen. My mom's getting a whole new kitchen this week. They got the house leveled (made it level, not demolished) and my old bedroom redone. If it rained they were going to start on the kitchen the next day...AAAAHHHHH! We got it done, but it was work!

Somewhere in all the mix, Paul David hit his head on the footboard of the bed. The next day, he had a little bit of a bruise near his eye:

Preston cracked me up...he would get a train and want his picture made with it. He's the only one who willingly wants his picture made and will actually pose...be still my heart!

Sweet Kendall! I usually get so many of her, but this trip was soooo rainy that I hardly took many at all. This was the best of just her:

My parent's have this window in their shop where the kid's look out and watch the happenings. My mom raised it, and it had stopped raining for a sec, so I was able to get a couple of the three of them:

Buddies:

Poor Paul David had to wear pink pullups for most of the trip:

After naps, we headed over to my friend Krystal's house to play with her kiddos. We'd wanted to go to the park, but guess what it started doing about 30 minutes before we went...RAINING! We had a great time visiting and letting the kids play. Thanks for having us Krystal:

Then we headed to Shay and J.T.'s for homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans from the garden (my absolute favorite vegetable EVER), and yellow cake with chocolate icing. Can you say, "YUM?"

The Dogwood was everywhere up there. All along the highways there were spots of white. I finally stopped and took a picture of one:

We had a great trip even with all the rain! I can't wait to go back to see my parent's house once it's all finished!

Shoes Off At the Park

I uploaded some video last night, and one of them was a week or so ago of us at the park with Mimi and Lily. Lily had worn flip flops, and they kept coming off. She finally just left them off, and Paul David wanted to take off his too. I agreed because I really didn't think he'd like it. Here's a clip of him with his shoes off at the park!

Weekend of Swimming

We celebrated Gena's birthday Saturday night! We had pizza and Sarah made brownies!
Lily helped blow out the candles:

Then, Paul, Paul David, Lily, Michael, and Justin got in the hot tub for some swimming:

On Sunday, we all got to have fun in the pool! Mike and Sarah had heated it, and the weather was perfect! The water was about 90 degrees, so it was nice...except when you got out!

Paul David's confidence in the water came back, so he started going under more and more!

By the end of the day, he was really trying to swim around in the hot tub! If he keeps this up, he'll be swimming around by himself soon!

One of the neighbors brought over juice pops...YUM!

Trying to get a picture of the three of us...Mike kept jumping in!

Yay, for summer time! I guess in some parts of the US, they're still dealing with snow! Here in Texas, it's time to heat up the pool to enjoy our 80 degree days!

Imagine our surprise when we got this picture:

Especially since just 3 months ago, we got this:
I gave the Easter Bunny a sucker to give to Paul David, and it made all the difference. Eventhough, I do love the crying ones, this one makes me giddy. Let's look at it again...
How grown up does he look???
STOP GROWING, my child!

Bluebonnets

I've tried to get pictures of Paul David in the Bluebonnets every year, and I almost forgot this year. Jessica, thankfully, posted pictures the other day of her girls in them, so that reminded me. Paul David and I went to the "ditch" after my doctor's appointment yesterday. I'm soooo glad I found out about the "ditch" last year. The first year, 2007, Michael, Gena, Lily, Paul David and I spent a whole morning driving almost to Brenham to take pictures. PAIN!!! By the time we got there, the sun was so bright that our pictures weren't very good! The last two years, I've driven about 5 minutes, and I think the pictures are just as good!

I think I like the one of him running the best...that's Paul David!

When we were leaving, he was looking back, waving, and saying, "Bye, Bye Flowers!"

IF I have a girl, I'm going to add the pretty pink azealas to my flower picture spring tour (Daffodils, Bluebonnets)! I just can't bring myself to take pictures of Paul David in front of them...he has nothing to wear for that! We'll stick to the yellow and blue flowers!

Doctor's Appt.

Well, we're finally back from my appt. My friends Pam and Shelby kept Paul David for me, so we stayed and visited with them for awhile! They're such sweet, sweet people, and Paul David had a blast!

Now on to the appointment. I was worried that I hadn't passed that Glucose Test, and I was right. She said that it was only slightly elevated, but I have to go back to take the 3 hour test...UGH! I'm hoping that since the number was just slightly elevated, I won't have it. I'm so dreading sitting in that Lab for 3 hours!

Everything else looks good though. I have to have another ultrasound in 4 weeks (April 15th), plus we have that 4 D one scheduled for April 1st. When she found the heartbeat, she said, "I do believe this baby is breech!" GREAT! That means the 4D probably won't be so great! You all remember that Mr. Paul David was breech, too, right until the end. She said "You don't see too many breech ones!' What is with these babies???? Minds of their own, I tell you! At least with the 4D, once you pay, you get 3 chances to come back if the baby is uncooperative.

We'll schedule the C-section at my next appointment. YAY! I'm going to start working on the predictions soon!

I finally got out the baby book the other day and filled in the blanks. Fun, fun! I'm determined to keep it up:) I made my own baby book for Paul David...it's more like a scrapbook. When I made his, I went ahead and made a second just so that it would be ready. It was nice to just get it out, and it was ready! I decided to make my own when I couldn't find ONE book that had everything I wanted, plus I thought it would help me keep it up to date if I'd put so much time into it! We'll see!

Well, I'm off to finish off Paul David's Cheeseburger...so much for eating better before the next test. I can't let it go to waste!

PS I went and took some pictures in the Bluebonnets this morning, too. I hope some of them turned out decent. I'll try to post them during nap time!

Two Days...

Our last two, no wait three days have been LAZY! I think my body is still drained from Monday's zoo trip. I felt great Monday, but these last three days have been hard. I can't get myself up off the couch! I guess at some point I'm going to have to acknowledge the fact that I'm PREGNANT...slow down!

Tuesday night, we had Taco Salad for dinner, and Paul David had a little too much fun with the queso! Paul pulled out the video camera, and it took me a minute to think that it would make cute pictures too. I'm telling you, I'm pooped...I'm usually the one pulling out the camera!

See the part about to drip off his chin! He is such a messy eater!

We did go to the park yesterday with Aiden and Alison. Their park was just redone, and it is awesome! I love that our area has all these neighborhood parks and each is so different. You can just visit them and figure out which one you like the best! I'm partial to our park because it has little and big kid stuff, plus the basketball goals...and it's super close to our house! The park we went to yesterday is right at the top of my list, though! It was great!

Aiden is 21 months old and is just the cutest! He was so brave climbing up the steps and sliding!

Of course, this is as high as Little Man would go:

Throwing the Mulch:

After lunch today, I was feeling guilty that I was being so lazy, so I got out one of the activities I put together for outside. Plus, I needed to wash Lovey, and this is one of the ways I've figured out how to get it away from him long enough to wash. It's sad, I know, but I just don't have the energy to do anything about it.
Paul David played a good while nailing the golf tees into the styrofoam.

Then we blew some bubbles. I bought this from Gymboree (remember when I went insane and bought all that stuff and got all those Gymbucks...yeah, this was a filler to get to the amount I needed) and they are AWESOME (I knew they were because these are the ones they use at the library)! They float around in the air forever and there's a million of them when you blow.

He was running around in them, and it was so cute. Of course, I couldn't get any decent pictures of it because it's super hard to blow bubbles and snap pictures at the same time without getting bubble juice all over the camera. I really need an assistant...any volunteers????

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow at 9, and I should get my results from my glucose test! Keep your fingers crossed that I passed...I REALLY don't want to have to go take that 3 hour one, but oh well if I do! I'll update again tomorrow!

Zoo Fun!

First of all, I can't believe it's been over a week since I last posted! Sorry:)

Yesterday, we had a Zoo day with some very special people! Krystal, Walker, and Griffin were in town (their dad had a work thing to come to here), so we headed to the zoo and met up with Amanda, Coleman and Spence! We had five little boys and two pregnant women for Krystal to keep up with in our little group, and boy did we have a blast!

I've been trying to think of a name for our little Zoo Day like ZooBloggers or Reunion of the Bridesmaids (I was a bridesmaid in both of their weddings, and they were bridesmaids in mine!) Anyway, I haven't thought of anything clever...maybe Amanda or Krystal will on their blogs!

Here are some of the highlights:

Paul David and Griffin:

Four of the Boys looking at a monkey:

The Orangutan (click on the picture to make it bigger to see what he was doing:):

Perhaps my favorite picture...Paul David showing Lovey the Elephants:

The Two Pregnant Ladies-Me due June 10th and Amanda due June 24th:

The boys minus Paul David in the cave:

Walker in the tunnel...pretending to hold his breath...funny boy:

Another attempt at all 5 on the train:

Paul David and Spence enjoying the train ride...so serious:

Once again, Paul David screamed bloody murder when it was time to exit the train. He just doesn't get it!

We didn't leave the zoo until around 3:30---a record for me at the zoo! Krystal and her boys rode home with us, and the boys played the rest of the afternoon.
Jason came after his thing was over, Paul got out of work early, and we all went to eat at Fuddrucker's. It was long day, but SO MUCH FUN! I have the best friends with the best kids!

I hope we can do it again one day!
