Longhorn Game With Daddy

Paul David and Paul (along with Michael) went to the UT game on Saturday. It was HOT they reported, but got a little shadier in the second half...so it got better. Poor Paul David and the heat just don't mix well!

A couple of weeks ago, Paul bought these Eye Black Stickers at the Co-op...Paul David LOVED them. He was talking about them all day Friday when we got them out to put them in the bag. On Saturday morning when I went to get him up to go to the game, they were the first things he started talking about:

Paul David and Uncle Michael:

Daddy and Paul David...I love to see how much his Hookem' Horns has evolved!

OK, I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but after the first game we went to, Paul David repeatedly talked about "the Bevos Running in the street!" I had NO idea what he was talking about and just figured he thought the field looked like a street and the Bevos were the players. Well, at the Tech game, I paid attention to the intro and lo and behold there are
BEVOS RUNNING IN THE STREET:

Paul got a picture of it!

Here are some pictures of the game...The Real Colt McCoy:

All in all, considering the weather, Paul said Paul David did as well as could be expected. He did decide that we wouldn't be taking him to another day game in 90+ weather again. It's just not fair to him. Personally, I enjoyed watching it on the TV yesterday in the A/C, especially when they started talking about the heat! Our next game isn't until October 10th...pray for a night game:)

Our Week!

Man, the week has really flown by! I can't believe it's already Friday!

Here's a little randomness from our week.

Monday before we went to the Astros game, I did a little photo shoot with Judson.

He thinks I'm really funny:

Is his shirt not the cutest??
When we were still in the hospital, Nana took Paul David to Wal-Mart and they came back with this little shirt for Judson.

On Tuesday, Judson tried out the exersaucer.
I took these pictures before I decided he needed a little extra support up front...I added a blanket and he's much more stable!

There's lots of pretty colors here:

On Wednesday, I ate this whole bag of Granola Nut Clusters:
I'm warning you right now, if you buy these (and you should if you like nuts), make sure someone else is with you when you open them so that you don't eat the whole thing by yourself. They are sooooo yummy, and these Honey Roasted Peanut ones are the BEST!

On Thursday, Judson wore this cute onesie around the house, so I took some pictures of him in the bumbo:

Today, Judson hasn't gotten out of his PJ's (that are just bright and sunny!). We went through the baby toys (which Paul David thinks are fantastic), and I put these foot rattles on Judson (he's so into his feet you know!)

Right at the end of his smile! He smiles and it's gone before I get the camera ready.

As we were looking for the baby toys, I found the shoulder pads and football pants that came with Paul David's UT helmet. I decided that it was time to introduce them to him. He's taking his nap in them right now...needless to say, he thought they were super cool!

So, if you're not a friend of Sarah's on Facebook, then you haven't heard this story.
Yesterday, she told Paul David that he was her sweet grandbaby.
He said, "I not sweet grandbaby, I sweet Love!" (She calls him her love when she sees him...you know, "Hi, Love!")
Later in the evening, I asked him if he was Mimi's Sweet Grandbaby. He said, "No, I Colt McCoy!"
You could say that he is ATE up with UT Football right now! I have to sing the Victory Song all day long and then say, "Here come the Longhorns!" and he runs around the room with his helmet on! It's quite amusing...I know Paul's excited that he's so into it! Actually, Paul David, Paul and Paul's brother are going to the game tomorrow (without ME:( It's a day game, and they're making a day trip of it, so it would be too much time to leave Judson!) It will be good for the two of them!

So that was our week...how was yours???

Astros Game

Last night, we took Judson to his first Astro's Game! He LOVED it! He did so well. He really didn't even want to eat much it was so entertaining!

We got a pretty good picture of the four of us!

Daddy and His Sons...many more of these pictures to be taken in our future I'm sure!

I looked over, and he was watching the game. He sat like this forever! Already a fan!

Drooling over the Astros!

Paul David wanted to hold him...sweet Brother moment!

We tried to get Judson's picture on the baseball like we have of Paul David's first game. He was more interested in his feet!

We were so surprised at how well he did. We wanted to get him to one game this season. Next season will be his real first season though. He'll get to go to Opening Day and more games!

This was our last game of the season, too. I'm sure we'll be missing baseball by January (when college football is over), but right now, it's kind of like "Astros Who??"

Tech Vs. Texas

Saturday was our 2nd UT game. It was at 7:00 at night...woohoo! I live for these night games, but this one was stifling. There were so many people there that I was sweating the whole time. I guess it was the people, could have been my hormones. Anyway, the picture above is right when we got to the game. Paul took Paul David to show him the cannon. We can hear the cannon and see the smoke from our seats, but we can't see the cannon.

Back in our seats, we posed before the game.

I got these cute Longhorn stickers at Wal-Mart months ago for a $1 for 4 pair. Paul David went through 2 that night. He loved them, and so did the pretty girls in front of us!

Look very closely at the player with the number 76...freaky!

I LOVE this everytime. After they all run out, they come to our endzone (which is the North Endzone...I put the wrong one last time) and pray. AWESOME!

This game set an attendance record for the biggest sporting event in the state of Texas...of course it was broken Sunday night at the Cowboys game.

Paul David's favorite part! After the Horns win, they light up the tower orange before singing "The Eyes of Texas!" He thinks this is the greatest thing. Since they've built up the stadium, you can't see the tower unless you're up high in the endzone (you know, where we were last year!) So they put it on the big screen.

The game was awesome...a bit of a nail biter, but great!

Sunday morning, we chilled out in the hotel room:

Then for lunch, we went to Threadgill's. YUMMY!

On our way to Threadgill's we passed this street...

We had a great trip. The next game is next Saturday, but it's at 2:30...NO Thank YOU! Paul and his brother are going, but he's waiting to see what the forecast is to decide if he'll take Paul David or not. We'll see:)

Family Meal

Judson's joined the table during dinner now! He sits so nicely and watches us eat! It's so much better than him crying somewhere or us having to take turns eating!

"Hey, Bro what you eating over there???"

He's so much happier now. It's amazing the difference just a month makes! Paul David got "happier" around 4 months, too. Interesting!
