Lots of Posts Below

I just posted all of our Christmas events...there's a lot!

Also, today I had my 2nd OB visit...I'm almost 17 weeks. I got to hear the heartbeat. She said that the baby sounded good. I told her about my right leg hurting when I sit too long and that I feel like I'm about 60 when I wake up in the middle of the night. She suggested I sleep with a pillow between my legs. If I bring one more pillow to bed with me, there may not be much room left for us. I already cage myself in so that I have pillows on whichever side I'm laying on. She said that the leg thing is probably a nerve I'm pressing on...UGH!

We go back on Jan. 19th for the BIG ultrasound...where we could find out what we were having if we wanted find out what we were having which we don't, so we won't:) I can't believe it's already time for the BIG ultrasound. It seemed like it took us forever to get to that point with Paul David.

I had gained some weight...yes, it was Christmas...all that pie for breakfast and cake and cookies ANYTIME I felt like it. She didn't lecture me as I expected....whew! I can tell that my stomach's growing, but I'm not getting that ball shape yet. I can still wear my clothes...probably because they were getting pretty loose from all the weight I'd lost. I do plan to clean out my closet after the first of the year and replace my summer stuff with some winter maternity...plus a few summer things since our weather continues to warm up!

Ok, so I'll let you get to the Christmas posts now...enjoy!

An Early Christmas

We had an Early Christmas at Paul's parents before we left on Sunday. Paul had been smoking our Christmas turkey and brisket, so Sarah just ordered pizza for dinner. Then, we all got to open one gift.

Paw Paw and Paul David:

Anytime anyone gets down on the floor, Paul David attacks:

Sarah had gotten the three kids matching PJ's so we tried to get a picture of all three:

So much fun, but just the beginning...

Christmas at My Parents

We celebrated Christmas at my parents on Tuesday Night with my sister and her family and my grandparents. We had chili and a Tur-duck-in that was given to my dad. We let the kids open gifts first, then we ate, then the adults got to open their gifts. It was a lot of fun!

Shay gave the kids these Dr. Pepper footballs, and Paul David wouldn't let it go. He kept throwing it and kicking it, though, so we had to take it some.

In his Elmo Sleeper...it was FREEZING that night!

Shay and JT gave Paul David this UT hat:

Nana and Papa got all three kids a present together. Here they are digging in:

It was a gas pump for all the ride on toys and bicycles outside! I think this may be our cover picture for our calendar next year, April!

That's not trash...

Paul David finishing off the Tur-Duck-In:
It was a great night of family, fun and food!

Christmas Eve Morning

My parents played Santa on Christmas Eve Morning...really, my dad was even saying "Ho Ho Ho" down the hall at 5:45 AM. It was so much fun for me because it reminded me so much of all the Christmases of my childhood. The room twinkled with toys and presents!

Here's Paul David and me coming in to check out what Santa brought:

He spotted the trains first:

Imagine that, a football:

Paul got the coolest book. It's a Longhorn Football Vault Book. It has little pockets and such with ticket stubs and things stuck all through it. He loved it:

We finished our Christmas Eve celebration with my parents with lunch, then we headed home.

Christmas Eve Night

When we returned from my parents, we got redressed for our friend Janet's Christmas Eve Celebration.

We took a quick picture in front of the tree before we left:

When we got back, Paul David got dressed in his PJ's and threw out his reindeer food he'd brought home from Mom's Day Out:

Then, we read Room for a Little One and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas:
We tucked him in and waited for Santa!

Our Christmas

Christmas Morning was so much fun! Paul David woke up around 7:30, so we jumped up and got all the cameras ready.

He went to his basketball game first, then this:

It's a Longhorn Mr. Potato Head!

We made him wait until last to open the Football Helmet. He opened that package, put it on, and just started running and giggling! It was priceless.

Here's Paul in his Texas sunglasses:
Paul made me wait until last to open my present, too. He knew that once it was opened, it was all over! He was right. I'm afraid that nothing much will be getting done around here for awhile!

Here's my reaction when I finally figured it out:

It was a wonderful Christmas morning. It's always been my favorite morning of the year, but sharing it with Paul David makes it better than EVER! Seeing things through the eyes of your child totally changes your outlook on everything!

Christmas Night

Christmas Night Paul's family came over to celebrate. Paul David opened most of his gifts in his Football Helmet!

He finally figured out what to do with all the gifts...especially tissue paper. He would get it out of the bag and just SHAKE the mess out of it until something fell out!

Way back before Thanksgiving, Paul David saw this Football Player in Target. He wanted to look at it so bad. Well, Mimi and PawPaw got it for him. It was a huge hit...until we lost the little footballs that he calls "Baby Footballs." I did find them today...they were in a box in his room:)

The Polar Express

Our last Christmas Celebration was going on the Polar Express Friday the 26th. Sadly for us, it was about 78 degrees outside, so it wasn't very "Polar." It was awesome though. Paul David had been wanting to ride the train outside our house (the yard decoration), so this was perfect for him. He loved seeing the trains up close, and you could just tell that he was loving it! Since it was after Christmas, we took Santa back to North Pole instead of going to get him. I didn't think it took anything away from the experience, but if we had older kids, it might.

Our Little Family with the Engine:

I thought this was just a sweet, sweet moment:

Santa gave him a bell...and he didn't scream in terror, but he did look away:

Handing the conductor his ticket to get punched:

Paul David had a blast. He'd been wanting to watch "Polar Express" before, but since this, he's been wanting to watch it everyday. He calls it the Ho Ho Choo Choo.

Bear With Me...

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas...all week long! We started with an early Christmas with Paul's parents on Sunday and ended with the Polar Express on Friday! In between, we had Christmas with my sister, her family and my grandparents. Then, Christmas Eve, we woke up to Santa at my parent's house. We spent Christmas Day at our house, then Paul's parents came over for more Christmas. Whew, it's been busy!

First of all...HE LOVED THE HELMET! All day on Christmas, he either had it on, beside him or carrying it around. It was too cute!

Now for the reason I have not been blogging...there's a new man in my life. His name is Mac...as in MacBook! Yep, I GOT A NEW COMPUTER for Christmas! I was so surprised! I never expected it! Please don't ask me about all the numbers and gigabytes and stuff because I have no idea. I can tell you that he's white and FAST and absolutely fantastically AWESOME!

So, it's taking me forever to learn all this stuff about it, and I've so been neglecting my desktop back in the bedroom. Therefore, my pictures and blogging have taken a step back. My brother-in-law (also an owner of a MacBook) is coming over to give me some hints tomorrow, so I hope to be back to some sort of blogging schedule soon!

I hope everyone else had a magical Christmas!

Day 9 of Christmas PJ's

Merry Christmas EVE, everyone!

This is our last pair of Christmas PJ's this year. 9 pair...I'd say that I have a problem!

This last pair is TOO cute. They have a cute little reindeer on them and say "Deck The Halls."

Sarah keeps this walker out for Foster, but Paul David keeps climbing in it. He gets in and asks for a paci...because that what Foster gets when he's in it. You can't see it, but he's looking at the fire in the fireplace. When Paul David was about 3-4 months old and wouldn't go poop for us, we would take him over there and have Sarah light up the fireplace. She'd put him in the walker, give him a book, and turn on Barney...he'd go EVERYTIME! So, when he climbed in the walker and the fireplace was going, we knew what was next!

Here are our pictures of our cookie decorating Saturday afternoon! I let him put sprinkles on them after I'd iced them. We had sprinkles EVERYWHERE, but they cleaned up! He had fun, and so did I. I love decorating the cookies!

Tonight is Christmas Eve. Before Paul David goes to bed, I plan to read one of the many books I have about Baby Jesus being born. Then, we'll listen to "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." This bear he's playing with reads the whole story and moves his mouth and everything. Aunt Janet gave it to him for his first birthday, and we listened to it last year. I thought that this year, we'd follow along with the book, too.

These pictures of him with this bear turned out too cute. It cracked him up watching the bear's mouth move like he was talking.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Santa comes tonight...yay! I sure hope he doesn't forget that Football Helmet!

Day 8 of Christmas PJ's

These are so cute! We had these in a smaller size, too, that he wore most of the year!
We were happy when Mimi had a new pair in a bigger size for him! Polar Pals!

The night he wore these, I had wanted to get a picture of him sleeping in one of the pair. Well, he insisted on wearing his new Astros Berkman T-shirt over his PJ's, so I knew that was out. I still took my camera in when I checked on him, though, and I'm glad I did!

Where is Paul David????

He has also started sleeping with Cooper! There's plenty of room since he ONLY sleeps on this one end of the bed and this way, too. His feet are usually sticking out the rails. I don't get it, but whatever, Dude!

Cooper is a Baby Bevo. He's named after the Co-op, the University of Texas Bookstore...get it Co-op with -er is Cooper. He's cute, but I hope to get him a stuffed Bevo soon!

Day 7 of Christmas PJ's

These are sweet PJ's. They have reindeer and trees on them.

I actually let him in the gate with the tree! He went straight to the Football Helmet ornament...HMMM!

Poor thing...it won't fit either!

Here are the pictures from the other day:

Day 6 of Christmas PJ's

The Snowman PJ's...these are one of my favorites. You can tell that they're also one of the bigger sizes...a 4T I think!
He should be able to wear these next year, too!

'Tis the Season To Be Freezin'

I thought this shirt was appropriate for today!

This weather is driving me NUTS! We had the A/C on yesterday...now today the HEAT! BRRRR...it is cold!

Day 5 of Christmas PJ's

Merry "Moose"mas!!!

Mimi got these PJ's for Paul David after Christmas last year! This is straight out of bed, so the hair is a bit frazzled!

This morning we went with the whole clan (10 of us) and got our pictures made at Portrait Innovations. That poor girl who worked with us...God Love HER! We had 2 two year olds and an almost one year old...enough said! The kids did pretty good, but it's still a fiasco! I'll post those pictures when I get them!

Since Paul David was dressed O-So-Cute, I let him play outside, and I sat with my camera! I got some cute shots, too!
Today, Paul David is 2 YEARS, 2 MONTHS, 2 WEEKS, and 2 DAYS old! How cool is that? I saw that on another blog and wanted to make sure I documented that...you know how I love documenting dates!
Remember, you can click on the collage to make it bigger and see the pictures better!

This one below, CRACKED ME UP! He was coming straight towards me screaming! He's out of focus, but I turned it to Black and White and it made it a little better. What a HOOT?

We didn't decorate the cookies last night, so you still have time to join us! We're going to do it this afternoon when he wakes up from his nap! We went and looked at Christmas Lights instead. Paul David loved it and was calling them "Ho Ho Houses!"
We're having so much fun celebrating this year!
