The Elf On The Shelf

This year, we adopted a new tradition...
THE ELF ON THE SHELF!

The Sunday after Thanksgiving our doorbell rang, and we found a gift on our doorstep. When Paul David opened it, we found Our Elf. We read his story and named him Elfie...original I know!

Each day, Paul David looks and looks for Elfie. He's really good at hiding, but Paul David and Judson are really good at finding! Elfie watches the boys during the day, then goes back to the North Pole at night to report to Santa! The next day, he shows up in a different place!

This past Saturday, we went to the local bookstore and got to meet the lady that invented Elfie and wrote the book. So Cool!

The elf was there, too!
She looked JUST like Elfie:

So where are some places that we've found Elfie?

On the back of the couch:

In Paul David's stocking...Paul David thought this one was HILARIOUS:

On the Oven Handle:

In the Light in the Playroom:

In the Christmas Tree:

I love Christmas Traditions! One thing I read before we had kids was that kids need traditions in their lives. It helps them find security and make memories. They're also FUN!!!!
