Pumpkin Patch 2008

A little church not too far from our house sets up a Pumpkin Patch every year for the kids. They have tons of pumpkins...some odd looking, some little activities, and if you catch it right, a story time (we missed it).

Paul David really has no huge interest in the whole pumpkin thing...he mostly just wants to RUN around, and since this is a pretty confined area, it works out great. I was able to get these 3 good pictures...out of like 80.

Happy Fall Everyone!

Pumpkin Patch Friends

We met our friends Kane and Sailor at the Pumpkin Patch!
Their Mommy, Tiffany, and I worked together before we had our little ones.

Kane handing Paul David a pumpkin.

Sailor. How adorable is she? Sailor was born the day after Paul David...less than 24 hours.
She does have a beautiful smile, but she was probably still wondering who I was. I just wanted to show her cute little outfit!

After we ran their legs off at the Pumpkin Patch, we all came back to our house, ordered pizza and PLAYED!
They played so well together!

ESCAPE from the Pumpkin Patch!

So this Pumpkin Patch has these cute little scenes set up that would be FANTASTIC photo opportunities if you had a kid that cooperated...that I don't have. All my photo opts look like he's trying to escape!

Geez, Louise! Plus, we're on like day 10 of this UT Jersey. It's ALL he'll wear. I did get him to start the day with the old one from last year so I could wash this one today. He even sleeps it in.

Where Am I???

Hey everyone...we haven't fallen off the face of the earth yet! Our internet has died, so we're at Paul's parents mooching some web time! Hopefully, they'll be there to fix it tomorrow. Sorry if you've e-mailed me...I'm not ignoring you!

We had a great, fun-filled weekend, and today, we went to the Pumpkin Patch here in town. I have TONS of pictures to show everyone!

He Can Read!

Tonight I was looking through the HEB grocery ad for tomorrow, and Paul David walks up, points to the HEB on the front and I swear says, "H-E-B." He said it a couple of times. Of course, if you didn't know what he was saying, you'd never figure it out. I know that's what he was saying, though!

When I go into stores with him, I usually say their names for him, especially HEB and CVS...they're just fun to say. Then when we leave, I'll say, "Bye, Bye HEB!" or "Wal-Mart." I guess he got it from that.

I'm really not doing flash cards of names of stores...Yet!

More Pictures...

Here are some more pictures with our new lens...

Three Little Cousins Loving One Another

Although the little looks like he may want out of there and away from all that hugging!

These were this morning.

The lens is really supposed to help in low light and stabilize the image.
I do think that these are a lot better than they would have been with the other camera. The football is still a little blurry, but it would have had a crazy effect with the other lens.

Sweet Boy.

EVERY single day, he's worn this jersey.
We usually start off with something else, but he always ends up in this jersey.
He's obsessed.

Water Wall

Yesterday, we went down to the Galleria to get my birthday present...a new lens for our camera! Oh, it is awesome...or it will be as soon as we learn a little more about it and get to know it better!

After we picked it up, we went over to the Water Wall to get some shots with it! Well, Paul David HATED it and that's saying it nicely. He was clinging to us the whole time.

We finally let him down to run around a bit.

We ate lunch at my all-time favorite Mexican food restaurant...Chuy's! I LOVE this place. I've never gotten anything that I haven't just LOVED! It was a wonderful birthday!

Playing Outside

How many posts have I had with this title?

The weather was nice and crisp this morning, so we stayed outside after our walk. Paul David played and played!

I was walking by here earlier and thought, "That basket has been here ever since I moved in...it was probably Grandma's. We've never put any flowers in it...I should probably just toss it." It wasn't 2 minutes after I had though this that Paul David went and got a sweet gum ball, which he calls "Ball" and pointed to the basket and said, "Goal!" He threw the "Ball" toward the "Goal" for probably 15 minutes! Clever little guy! Needless to say, the basket won't be tossed now!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Little Man!

Can you believe our little man is 2? It's crazy how fast time has flown on by us!

It's equally crazy how much you can love one little person! Paul David is the light of our lives and the highlight of our day! When he smiles, he smiles big. I hope that stays with him forever. I hope he continues to be passionate about things as much as he is today (ie baseball, football, fish). He's just a joy to be around and cracks us up daily with all the things he comes up with. He's our little man, and we love him SO much! Happy Birthday, Dude!

On Friday, we went to get our pictures made. Here are the ones we chose:

UT Pictures

We got some done in our UT attire, too. You knew we would:)

This last one...UGH...contrary to what these pictures show, Paul David was anything but cooperative in the photo shoot. Let's just say, we got ALL the ones that were good! This last one I got because I have him on the one...so cute and smiley last year. This was the ONLY one on the 2 that we could get!
I'm hoping that a 3 year old is easier to photograph!
