Judson's First Day of Preschool

 This Sweet Boy started Preschool this morning!

 He looked so big going in, but he's in the right room...Little Monkeys:)

He also carried his bag all the way in...

 Sometimes with it over his head:)

 But he found his hook...

 and unloaded it!  SUCH a Big BOY!

He said he'd go back tomorrow, so we're all breathing a sigh of relief!!!

Judson's Meet The Teacher

Judson went to his Meet The Teacher on Thursday!

He's going Monday, Tuesday, Thursday this year:)

He's actually in the same classroom as he was in the Toddler Class 2 years ago...some different toys though!

 And one new teacher...Ms. Lori (on the left), but Ms. Shelly (on the right) was his Toddler teacher 2 years ago, and his first crush!  HE LOVED Ms Shelly!

Longhorn vs. New Mexico State Aggies Game

 Saturday morning, we headed west to Austin (YAY) for the game that night!

Along the way, we stopped at Buccee's in Bastrop (bottom left picture), Salt Lick (YUM) (top picture), and the Co-Op (bottom right picture).

Salt Lick has done a ton of work since we were there!  They have this new awesome kid area (Kid Ranch) that the boys had a blast running around and playing on.  I did remind them several times that we do have one of these things called Play Sets at our house:)

 After a pit stop at the hotel, we headed to the game!

It felt good to be back at DKR for a fresh, new season!

 The Longhorns started out really slow, but they got their act together at the end of the half, then dominated the second half!  It was pretty AWESOME!!!

Paul David did this a lot...it was so cute!!!

Judson's Days

 While Brother's at school, Judson Plays!

Well, the first day, it was hard...the kid wants to EAT ALL DAY LONG!  It's hard!  When he wants a snack (which is every 10 minutes...not kidding), he comes in and says, "Hungry, Hungry Hippo!"  That means he needs food!  HA!

So the second day we spent together, we came home from the Y, and I got down a tray...

I filled it with lots of snacks and a water bottle, set it on the couch, and we were both happy until lunch!  Perfect!!!!

By the end of the week, he'd found my old flip phone and the holder for it!

I showed him where he should wear it...

He called himself a Policeman.  He really is too cute, and if you give him plenty of food, he plays all day:)

Paul David's First Day of First Grade

Mimi asked Paul David about his teacher after he had met Mrs. Keeton.  At Meet the Teacher, she had on a Purple sparkly dress and looked really nice.  So, Paul David said that his teacher was "pretty and shiny!"  So cute!  I think we're going to have an amazing year!  He's just bubbling with excitement everyday when he comes home from school!!!!

 On Friday, we went to school to Meet Paul David's Teacher!

He was so excited to find his seat!!!!

 And his name on Mrs. Keeton's Doors (although you can't see it because the boys are written in blue:)

We're all pretty excited for his first day of First Grade!!!!

Skating

 On Wednesday before school started, we went skating!  Paul David did really well...well, for someone with spider legs and hasn't really skated but once this year!  HA!  He could at least make it around, and we didn't end up in the ER!  Success!!!

 Judson had a hard time even with the walker...he ended up having a blast riding his scooter though!

Beach Day with Friends!

 We had been planning a beach day in Galveston with our friends all summer long!  It was hard to get everyone's schedules aligned to go, but we got some friends down there!

 The weather didn't cooperate with us on this trip either...boo, stinky weather!!!!

So, we made the best of it, and loaded up and headed to the Strand!

 And had a sweet treat!

It ended up being a fun day with our friends, and one last hurrah before school starts again!

New Haircuts and Playing Catch

 So the boy's hair had gotten a little out of control!  Paul David was complaining non stop about his curls:(  I was going to take them on Monday, but the complaining proved to wear me down, so I looked up Sports Clips and it opened at 11 a.m. on Sunday!  So, after we got out of church, I took them over for hair cuts!  WELL, we walked in about 5 minutes after they'd opened and the place was PACKED!  And there were like 7 people cutting hair!  It was madness...and to top it off, the place was 89 degrees HOT!  Oh, and there was a poor mama with a screaming 2 year old...it was DE-LIGHTFUL in there!  I asked the boys if we could just come back tomorrow, but Paul David threw himself around screaming, "NO, I want my hair cut!!!!!"  So we stayed...

 And they do look CUTE!

 Mid afternoon, Paul took them out to play catch with them!

I have to say the improvement is amazing...

 YES!!!!  He caught a lot!  

(I was going to give a percentage of catches, but I would totally be making it up since I spent maybe 5 minutes out there...I'd been hot all day, and that wasn't helping)

 Judson's started catching, too!

Second child sure does advance faster...of course, hard to tell if he knew what was going on or if it was pure luck:)  No, really, he caught 3-4 while I was out there...he's doing really well!

So, Paul David moves up to Machine Pitch this year, and Judson will finally get to play T-ball on REAL FIELDS!  We're so excited to get Fall Ball under way!!!

Big Ole Cannon Ball!

 Judson has this cannon ball thing going!

He's usually in a very tight ball and hits right on his bottom...perfect cannon ball form!
