Halloween Carnival

We had our 2nd annual Halloween Carnival at my parent's house this weekend. They've been having Halloween Parties for years, but this was only our 2nd Carnival geared for the kids. They all had fun, and I think our little spider lived on M&M's for most of the night:

There was also a little pumpkin there. He was passed around all evening, chewing and biting on whoever's fingers he could get a hold of:

There was also One Little Pig...

And the Big Bad Wolf.

A little Bee made the long journey north...

Trying to find the Honey Pot of this little Winnie the Pooh:

The Wolf and The Spider WUV each other so much:

Darth Vador even showed to keep the spider in line:

Darth found some vampire teeth along the way:

This little pumpkin wore out before we knew it! He was such a sweetie though and charmed the crowd.

He got to meet his Uncle Barry for the first time, too. What a night!

The Carnival was a huge success...many, many, many pieces of candy were eaten, bounces were bounced in the jumpy house, lots of hot dogs were devoured...as well as cookies, tons of pictures were taken, and even more memories were made!

We'll have to look forward to next year now!

Texas/OU Weekend

We didn't go to the game in Dallas, but we got dressed to watch it on the TV. Daddy wanted a picture with his boys. The Texas/OU game is special to us because it was the day we brought Paul David home from the hospital in 2006. I will never forget that!

Here's Paul David's lineman stance. He cracks us up!

Here are some pictures of Judson with Cooper (Baby Bevo). I was trying to get a good one to send in to the UT Alumni magazine. We did that with Paul David, so I've been working hard to get a good one of Judson, too.

Which of the two do you think I should send? I like his expression in the first, but you can see more of Cooper and Hook Em' in the second. I can't decide...help me!

Football and Mirrors

We got Paul David this Football Set for his birthday, and it was the BEST thing we've given him since that Football Helmet last Christmas. He plays and plays and plays with it!

He's got some cute things he says when he plays, too. Instead of saying "tackle," he says tickle. It sounds pretty funny when you're talking about big linemen tickling each other:) Then, the referee is the "en-jo-wee." It kind of sounds like "anjolie." He calls the field, the "green grass." He also really only likes to play with the linemen, who don't have stands on the bottoms of them, so they're HARD to get to stand up...especially white #99. Of course, that's my job...to get them to stand up on two legs and one arm:)

It really is cute to watch and listen to!

We also do a lot of "playing" football in the dining room. See the hall...that's the tunnel where the Longhorns run through the smoke. He even set up his goal post there!

The other day, I was videoing him playing football, and he took his helmet off and sat down on the Retro Rocket. I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "I'm sitting on the bench!" As soon as I put the camera away, he got back up and played again. When I got the regular camera out, he went and sat down again. Funny boy!

He really only stops playing when I put Judson down on the play mat. Then, he comes running and won't leave him alone! I've decided that poor Judson's never going to crawl because someone's always in his way during his floor time. I finally had to put him in the Bumbo to keep Paul David off of him.

After I evicted Paul David, Judson got some quality tummy time. He found himself in the mirror, and it was priceless:

Do you SEE all that DROOL???? This baby is constantly WET! He drools like a maniac.

Anyone want to guess how long it will be before he gets his first tooth????

His Grip...

Judson is VERY into his toys these days! He's really started reaching for them and actually grabbing them and of course putting them right in his mouth.

Just look at the intensity:

He's got a STRONG grip, too. That was one of the first things Paul told me about him in the hospital..."That boy's got a STRONG grip." He really does, too. He can pull that suctioned toy right off the tray. He also grips my thumb or pointer finger when he eats which just melts every ounce of my heart because he's done that from the beginning, too.

Oh, the grip of these little hands...

Oh, the grip that the owner of these little hands has on our hearts!

Jay Jay the Jet Plane

We introduced Judson to Jay Jay the Jet Plane tonight!

He loved it as much as this little guy did 2 years ago:

Next thing we know, he'll be playing with Thomas the Tank Engine, too!

Colorado vs UT Game

Saturday night was the BEST game weatherwise we've been to this year or probably even last. You needed long sleeves, but you were freezing...most importantly we weren't SWEATING at 8:00 at night! Paul David had the best time yet! He sang the songs, chanted the chants, and just plain enjoyed himself.

I think that this could possibly be my favorite picture I've taken in a long time...well since last week:) Krystal suggested I frame it, and I think I might do that!

If you talk to Paul David, and he starts talking about the "Bevo with his eyes open" this is what he's talking about:

or if he tells you about "the tower turning orange," he's talking about this:

at the end of the game, they show the tower on the big screen. If the Longhorns have won, they show the tower turning orange. It's basically the highlight of his night. I don't know what we'll do if the Longhorns lose at home, and hopefully, we won't have to deal with that:)

And Judson and his Nana...they bonded while we were gone. By bonded, I mean he screamed and Nana walked and tried to quiet him. No really, she "said" he only screamed for an hour, then slept, then screamed about 30 minutes. Not too bad since we were gone for about 7 hours!

We only have two games left...sad, I know. They're both in November, so now we have to endure a month with Paul David begging to go to a game. UGH, that should be fun, NOT! He just asked as I'm writing this if we're going to go to a football game...he said, "maybe tomorrow!" Maybe November 7th, Dude!

34

Today was my 34th Birthday! I had a fantastic day that started off with sleeping "in" until 8:30! My mom was here this morning (she went with us to Austin this weekend), so she got up with Paul David. Judson and I snoozed away, and it was awesome!

I got a TON of Facebook, e-mail, and phone call birthday wishes that have just made my day! It's so nice to have so many people wish you a Happy Birthday!

My mom stayed for lunch then headed home. The boys both took good naps, then Paul came home early! He brought me these:
And gave me this:

We saw a girl with one of these at the game Saturday, and it was all I could talk about! It's the perfect Football Purse for going to the games!

We ended the night by going to my FAVORITE restaurant...Chuy's! I had the fajitas, and they were yummy! It's been a great start to 34!

Bear Pajamas

When I was pregnant with Paul David, my mother-in-law gave us some of Paul's outfits that she'd saved. I was able to get pictures of Paul David and Judson in one of the outfits so far...these Bear PJ's:

Here's Paul in them in 1976:

Paul David in them in 2006:

and Judson in them in 2009:

I think that it's so neat to have some of Paul's baby clothes to dress the boys in. I plan to keep some (okay a lot...way too many I'm sure) of the boys clothes to pass along to their babies. Hopefully, my daughter-in-laws will love it as much as I have:)

Can you believe that I'm already thinking about my daughter-in-laws?? Ca-ra-zy!

4 Months

I didn't forget about Judson turning 4 months old on Sunday, we've just had one of those weeks that I haven't been able to get some things done!

But, we got some good pictures this morning with the bear!

Prior to this week, I would have said that I LOVE ME a 4 MONTH OLD! (This week, Judson's been off a little...not sure what's going on!)

But, normal Judson is so happy! He'll just play in the exersaucer or just sit on my lap...very content! He still LOVES to eat, but that's the Lovett and Legoudes in him! He has a smile ready for anyone who will smile at him! He's really started following us around with his head and eyes (okay, that sounds really weird, but you know what I mean), especially Paul David! He gives this low giggle sometimes when we blow raspberries on his belly! Too cute!

And just to see the difference, here's Paul David at 4 months...man was he bald???
These are for Krystal...she loves baby feet:

I do, too. I love that they curl up and they have all those wrinkles on the bottoms. Soooo sweet!

We're going for Paul David's 3 year well visit and Judson's 4 month well visit this morning. Should be interesting!!!

Paul David's REAL Birthday

Sunday was Paul David's REAL birthday! He was up at 6:30 ready to play with his new toys. Thankfully, Nana and Papa were here to get up that early with him:)

I made him a 3 out of powdered donuts...a favorite. I would say that we only have these for special occasions, but I'd be lying! Oh, my stars, they are so good:

YUMMY!

Later in the day, after his nap, we gave him our other gift...a Longhorn Football Guys Playset! It's PERFECT...he loves it!
I think he had a grand birthday! It was fun for us all and so have the last 3 years!
