October 11-12, 2013
Paul and I spent the weekend in Dallas to celebrate my birthday and see the Longhorns play in the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma!
On Friday night, we went out on the town!
To our favorite Dallas Mexican Food Restaurant...Pepe and Mido's!
Then, we rode the train to Mockingbird to find some Longhorn Fans!
We found another Mexican Restaurant...
The next morning, we headed to the State Fair and found Big Tex all restored and looking and sounding great!
The fair was crazy even at 9 a.m., so we just headed into the stadium to watch the warm ups!
We got the good seats this year!!!! That seat back is awesome!!!
This is where I'm going to pause and tell you that it was supposed to rain...we even bought rain panchos to bring with us! It did NOT RAIN...quite the opposite...the sun beamed us the entire game and the heat index had to be close to 100 degrees! It was HOT!
But the game was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Bye Bye Sooner fans!
This is the 50 yard line early in the game...half burnt orange, half red!
Horns WIN!!!!
It was so exciting!!!!
Thank you Longhorns for my birthday gift!!!
After the game, we were on the train, and I told Paul that if I went back to the hotel and showered, I was probably going to bed. If we wanted to eat at Pepe and Mido's again, we should probably just go now! So we did, and I looked like I had been sitting out in 100 degree weather, but it was worth it!!!!
Such a fun birthday!!!!
