A Little Baseball!

After our day with the trains, there was a little thing called rain that found it's way to the ground! We're in a serious drought at home, so seeing rain was something of a novelty to us! It cooled the air down to the 70's, so we thought an outdoor activity might be in order! We loaded up and headed to the local baseballs fields! Luck would have it that the little leaguers were already there practicing on every field! So we came back to Nana's and just practiced:

And Judson did what Judson does best...EAT!
At least he took the time to inspect the nutritional information:

His shirt says:
What Happens at Nana's
Stays at Nana's!

I wanted so badly to get a picture of him with Nana with the shirt on, but instead I got these two adorable pictures:

Maybe one of my all-time favorite pictures of Judson...and Nana:)

The Train Museum

The Train Museum is really small, but it is really pretty cool! They had tickets at the beginning and a hole punch for the kids to "punch their tickets!" I enjoyed seeing the old train tickets and the old punches...pretty cool!

They have a huge model train and city of Marshall sat up. They were pretty excited about this, too:

We're not quite sure what this was, but Paul David wanted a picture by it! It turned out to be adorable!

Then, Judson went over and posed with the town...he's just too cute:

Paul David pulling the whistle:

Then, they're favorite part...a Thomas train table was all set up for them to play and play:

Yay for Trains!!!

Trains, Trains, Trains

On Tuesday morning, my mom and I took the boys to the Marshall Train Depot and Museum! They have this cool train and caboose outside that you can climb around on. Plus, it's still an actual train depot and the train yard is right down the track so at lease 5 trains came through in the couple of hours we were there!

Driving the Caboose:

Inside the Big Black Train...Judson wasn't much of a fan!

Kid's Station

One of Paul David's requests was to go to Kid's Station...it's like a HUGE playground that is inside...in the A/C...we were all about it!

Judson LOVED the ball pit...I'm LOVING this picture:

There was one slide that they all loved (well, after I drug a crying Paul David up it and basically pushed him down it...then they all loved it!)

See...he loved it:

Preston and Paul David enjoyed this rope swing thing:

A LOT...look at that face:

Then, there was skee ball...which was crazy funny! None of them could really do it, but it kept them entertained for 15 minutes or so!
Paul David really wanted to play basketball...and he was pretty good! None of them were very aware that there was an actual time limit, so the speed of their shots was of a turtle speed!

Judson was really excited about it as well! It was hilarious...when I'd pick him up for him to throw, he'd kick his feet as fast as they would go! HA!

Next up was lunch with Aunt April at Chick-fil-A and more playing!

It was a great first day!!!

A Week of Fun Starts!

Last week, we had a FUN, FUN week that we called our Staycation at Nana and Papa's! Paul was in New Jersey for a training thing he was organizing, so we headed north for the week!

The first order of business was a Slumber Party with Preston and Kendall! It's not a party unless there's jumping:

and it's REALLY a party when there's a Jumping Cowboy:

Judson was already sleeping, so he missed out on the fun:) Let the week begin!!!

Goldfish, Please!

Last week, Paul David's little buddy, Colton, came over to swim and play! After we came in from swimming, Colton came up to me and said, "You remember when I came over and me and Paul David sat on the beanbag together and ate Goldfish?" I thought a minute, and said, "well, I don't remember it, but I'm sure it happened!" Then he replied, "I want to do that again!" HA...what a creative way to ask for Goldfish!!!!!

But we recreated the moment!

And it was PRECIOUS for sure!!!

Astros Game with Paw Paw

Last week, Paw Paw was heading the Astro's Game! With Judson's ear still bothering him, we stayed home with him, but Paul David got to go! While they were at the game, I got an e-mail from my friend Mia with this picture:

She and William were there as well! Yay for friends at the game!!!!

Before they left, I took some pictures of Paul David in his new RED Hunter Pence shirt! He'd been telling me forever that he wished he had a red Astro's shirt like he had when he was 2:) (There's a picture of him in it in his room, so he would remind me of it any time we went in his room!) So, one day at Wal-Mart, his dream came true with my $10 Hunter Pence shirt find!!!!
Judson jumped in on some picture action as well:

I love that Paul David is able to go to the games with Paw Paw...such a special time for both of them!!!!

Swim Lessons

Paul David started Swim Lessons last week! These are his first official swim lessons since I don't really count those baby swim lessons...that was just PLAY! He's pretty much taught himself to swim, so I thought he needed some fine tuning!

Miss Rachel is AWESOME! She coaches some competitive leagues in the area, so she's really good and patient with him (and Mae and Colt who come over for lessons after Paul David.) I'm not out there while the lessons are going on (It's So HOT), but I watch a lot through the window!

Here she was instructing him on something:

Then, they spotted me:

He's never been awesome at swimming under the water, so that was something I wanted her to focus on...then he started doing it a lot about two weeks before lessons started. She's working with him on some energy saving swimming techniques and some strokes.

He wanted to jump off the diving board for her:

Swimming back to the steps:

Yesterday, Paul David and I went out during Judson's nap (he's got a wicked ear infection right now, so we have to sneak our swimming). I asked him to show me some stuff he'd learned...he threw some fish in the water, then started trying to dive for them. He couldn't make it down by himself, but if I gave him a little nudge on his back he would go right to the bottom and get a fish. We found 13 of them to dive for, and he did it three times. He dove 36 times...makes me tired just thinking about it! He's such a fish and completely independent in the water. He's just really so comfortable in the water...always has been! Judson's following in his footsteps, too!
