Eating Hands, Brothers and New Shoes

Judson has found his hands and boy does he like to eat on them.

I know a lot of you think we're crazy, but if he could just find his thumb, we would be so happy! He will NOT take a pacifier (I've bought every kind), and I just think he'd be a lot happier (like his brother) if he could suck on something when he wants to.

Some cute brother shots (well, Judson wasn't too into the whole thing...actually, most of the time, he's looking at Paul David like he's crazy...which he is).

This one looked so silly to me:

and finally, Paul David got new shoes. Oh, they have eased him getting dressed. We've had such a problem all week with his shoes ("I can't want to wear those"), so yesterday, I decided to take him to pick out his own shoes. He picked these:

And I LOVE them because now he WANTS to put on his shoes!

For Preston...

I pulled these shorts out today and told Paul David that they were Preston's. He wanted to wear his Thomas shirt to go with them. Then, he said, "I want to show Preston!"

Well, thankfully, we have internet and you can do just that!

So, Preston, here's Paul David all decked out in trains for you:

After I took the picture, he wanted to look at it. He said, "No I wanted to see Preston!" I'm not that good! Then he said, "Preston loves me!" which in Paul David talk means, "I love Preston!" He gets things backwards!

Some Randomness...

Some random things I want to remember about Paul David at 2 years, 11 months...
Favorite sayings right now:
"I can't want to _____"
"Try it again!" when he wants to see/do/hear/watch something over again right now
"Tomorrow" when he wants to see/do/hear/watch something over again later

Suddenly scared at night or to go into another room without me. I'm not loving that very much!

I realized the other day that I have no pictures of either boy in the cradle. Considering Judson's about to grow out of it, I thought I better get going on that since I'm about ready to get rid of it.
They had to be awake pictures because I'm not comfortable enough with Judson's sleeping to happen to interrupt it for a picture. Look at how long he is:

Then his lovey was on the bed, so we had a impromptu photo shoot:

Friday night, a storm came through and knocked out our electricity right before we were going to warm up dinner, so we took our dinner to Mimi's house. Lily and Foster were there and they were all reading with Mimi. Paul David was actually reciting this one:

Randomness over...going to bed!

Summer Birthday Bash

Before I get to the Birthday Bash, there were some adorable pictures of Judson...

He's discovered his feet...he loves to look at them:

I love this little swirl in his hair. I had to get a picture of it so that I will remember it forever!

"What You Talkin' About Mimi???"

So, Justin's birthday was the 13th, and we've been celebrating ever since. On Saturday, he had a summer birthday bash with 3 other kids on the street. I can't believe that he's 14...he was 6 when I met Paul!

Lily cracks me up...this girl does not want to go under!

Mr. Daredevil himself:

Watermelon Time:

More jumping and splashing:

Foster was having a blast:

Cake time:

Me with my baby...tator tot didn't like the heat much:

It was a fun party. My in-laws live on the best street with the best neighbors and kids. You say party, and they'll fill up a pool!

Children's Museum

Mia, William, Paul David, Judson and I ventured out to the Children's Museum this morning. We thought that since it was the first day of school, maybe everyone would be too busy with that to come to the museum. For the most part, we were right. There was just the right amount of people there.

Of course, we always start with the train:

Judson enjoyed the baby area in the TotSpot...it's just the coolest. There were bumbos, loveys, soft toys, mirrors, etc. all for babies:

Paul David and William spent a lot of time on the slide:

and this car:

These doors are awesome. There are two and the have door knockers, lights to turn on and off and a doorbell. You open them to see who it is, and it's YOU:

The coolest chair around:

These mirrors were quite funny, too:

A little shopping:

Paul David LOVED jumping in these balls:

Here Mia was trying to get both boys in the car...Paul David took off soon after this:

Sweet Judson...aka Silly Monkey. He did AWESOME today. He would eat, then hang out in the stroller or the play area, then sleep in the Moby Wrap!
And finally, here's a very short video of Paul David at one of the cute things. It's these little windows with bears doing different things. The yellow one is a bear sitting on the toilet and you pull the lever to flush it. You'll hear the flushing if you have your volume up. Then, Paul David goes to the one where the bears are having a birthday party and sings to them. At the end of the song, he blows out the candles. He's pretty cute:)

We had a great time, and I'm SO thankful that Mia was there. I couldn't have survived without her!

Busy, Busy Day

Paul David, Judson and I started our day early. We headed south to visit our friends, The Piks!

The boys always have a blast together and mostly look like this...blurs of activity!
If I only had half the energy those boys do, I would get so much done!

The mamas and babies sit around and eat...the mama's are hungry!
Then, we take pictures of our sweeties!

They decided to hold hands this time...awww:

We even got all five Monkeys to pose:

Can you believe that we have 4 boys and a girl between us??? Crazy!

Then, after some naps (well, Judson slept on the way home and Paul David napped when we got home...Mama didn't get a nap:( ), Paul David and I headed to the Astros game with Paw Paw, Uncle Justin and Uncle Bobby.

Here's Paul David with Uncle Bobby:

So sweet:

Can you guess what he's saying here?:

Paul David and Mommy (this was my first game since May):

It was a long day, and I was so tired...but we had a great time!
