Children's Museum and Train

Well, we did it...we joined the Children's Museum, so yesterday, we were able to take advantage the the Members Only Preview to the new parts they were opening. It included SO much that we didn't even get to see, but the part we did see was very impressive. The new Toddler Area is great! There was a lot of fun things to do there. Plus, they have a ton of stuff for older kids. There's one part called Kidtropolis that gives you a debit card, then they teach you to manage your money. If we'd had time (and no Paul David to contend with), it would have been fun to go through it really slowly with Justin. Instead, we kind of had to just do the stuff that Paul David could actually do.

First stop was the grocery store. It was adorable. HEB had given them a lot of products to use, plus some of their reusable bags. They had a produce stand...and fish. Paul David loaded up on fish, oranges, strawberries, and one box of cereal...way to go for healthy eating:)

Then, you check yourself out. They had little aprons for you to put on to pretend to be the cashier, but we didn't use them.

It was a touch screen, and Paul David was able to find the oranges and strawberries.
It was pretty much the cutest thing EVER!

Then, we went to work in the vet. Our doggie we picked needed a flea bath. Paul David got paid $20 Kid Bucks for working. He didn't want to leave the doggie there.
There was another area we tried to do, but it was crazy crowded. It was a diner, and the parents sat at tables and the kids waited on them and prepared the food in the kitchen. It was too cute!
Then, we headed to the Tot Area.
Of course, he found some balls:

Then, we found this activity in the Matter Factory. You were supposed to find certain pieces of matter with different characteristics and place them in the holes for inspection. Well, Paul David decided it was more like basketball, so he would just get one and toss it into the hole, which he called the goal!

Justin and Paul David painted their faces after lunch.

They had the best time outside playing with the boats and water.

We had decided that since the Museum was so close to the zoo that we'd go over there after we were finished and park and ride the train...they've redone it, and it is a beauty!
Well, once we got over there, the traffic was insane (I think a lot of people must park there and go to Hermann Park is all I can figure). The lots were full, and we kind of decided to just keep going and leave. Well, when we got to the gates, they opened the lane up to go into the zoo lot!!! We drove around a minute to find a spot over by the train, then Sarah said she'd just drive around while we rode the train. DEAL!

"Riding That Train!!!!"

But, she found a parking spot, and the nice conductor let her come on and ride with us.

He was so serious watching the engine:
He DID NOT want to get off when it was over...surprise, surprise! We got to ride the blue and red train, but we had seen the green and red one when we were walking up. As we were leaving and all day, he asked to ride the green train...we may have started something. Krystal and Amanda, we'll HAVE to ride the train on the 16th:)

Pictures of Baby

Well, I think I'm 26 weeks pregnant today. That's what I am according to my first ultrasound, which I think is what my doctor is going by. The ultrasound I had done today says that I'm 25 weeks, 2 days. So I'm somewhere around 25 or 26 weeks.

This is me at 26 weeks with Paul David:

Here are some new pictures of Baby 2:

Baby was opening and closing his/her mouth during these pictures, so this first one is with mouth closed:

Then mouth open:
This last one just melts my heart. I swear this baby is smiling here! I've commented before that we never got a great shot like this of Paul David...he was always so very uncooperative during ultrasounds. When this came up on the screen, I felt like I'd won the lottery! Do you see that sweet little nose. Oh, I can't wait to see this baby in real life!!!!!

So, baby weighed a little over one and half pound, which she said was measuring ahead a little. I told her that Paul David always did also, but that he came out at 7lbs, 12 oz, and she seemed surprised. Then I said that he was a long, skinny baby, and she said that would make a difference because they measure bones, so if there's not that much chubby fat on them, they'll weigh less. So, I guess Baby probably doesn't measure ahead, he/she is probably just following in brother's skinny footsteps! It's odd to me that I have skinny babies...skinny has never/will never be a descriptive word to describe me...that's all Paul!

Since this baby is being cooperative, we're thinking about trying for the 4D ultrasound in a couple of weeks. We got a few pictures of Paul David in 3D, but they always told us that we'd be wasting our money on coming in to do JUST the 3D because he was breech and generally uncooperative. This one, though, she said would be great. This baby is head down, which fooled me because I've been feeling like the baby was in my chest cavity. I would have bet Baby was breech again.

I'm thinking I'll start a guessing game around 30 weeks to see what everyone thinks I'm having. So far we're all getting what we want---a healthy baby!

Playing with More Cousins

Paul David is such a lucky little boy because he has 2 sets of cousins that are so close to his age...it should be fun to watch all of them grow up! So this last weekend, he got to play hard with my sister's kids, then yesterday, we went over and he played with Paul's brother's kids. Too much fun!

Mimi broke out the ice cream-Lily wanted vanilla and Paul David wanted chocolate:

Foster got in on some vanilla action, too:

This is Lily when she was all done...notice the little bitty bit of ice cream on her top lip:

Paul David when he was finished:
It was literally dripping off his chin and hands. He is such a mess!
It was cracking me up!

"Oh, No Mommy. Pants a mess! Wash Pants. Wash Hands"

He's so funny because he doesn't mind making the mess until the food's gone, then he can't stand it if there's anything on his hands or clothes.

Mrs. Lee's Gardens

We spent the weekend at my parent's house, and I have some more cute, cute pictures from there Saturday. I've been anxious to post these, though. There are a TON of pictures in this post, so if you have dial up...I'm so sorry!

Sunday, before we headed home, we stopped off at Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Gardens in Gladewater to take pictures and let the kids run through/trample the flowers. We had fun, and thankfully, the weather warmed up enough for us to be comfortable!

I won't write for each of the pictures.
These are the vertical ones, and the horizontal ones will be in the next post in a slideshow.
Enjoy!

Geez, Another Diaper Post...

I found a site that lists all the diaper deals for the week and wanted to share this wonderful knowledge with my fellow blog readers who are also up to their eyeballs in diapers (and since CVS is not giving me diapers anymore (although there are some good deals coming up soon), I've had to find other resources). It's Baby Cheapskate. The site is also good for finding other baby stuff on sale in case you're looking for other things besides diapers.

There's one particular deal I wanted to share with you though. If you go to this link Diaper Deals and go all the way down to where she talks about Kroger, there is an awesome deal (if you don't mind store brand diapers). There's a link to print a $3 off coupon for Kroger Comforts Diapers (you may have to browse the pages for it...the packaging is green), and they're on sale this week (at my Kroger anyway) for $5.99 (regular price is only $6.99). Oh, yeah, that's 30 size 5 diapers for $2.99 or $3.24 with tax (the same as a Quarter Pounder Value Meal at McDonald's in 1994)!
You may have to install some coupon printer thing, but it's worth it. Also, after you print it, go back and print it again. You're allowed to print 2 coupons from one computer. Then, go print them from another computer. We have 2 computers hooked to our printer, so I've printed 4 coupons.

I've tried these, and they're okay. I would compare them to any store brand diapers I've tried. He even slept in one the other night, and it was FULL the next morning and no leaks. I'm hoping they're not as comfortable as the Huggies and Pampers he's been used to so that he'll finally think going potty on the potty is FUN:)

If you don't have kiddos in diapers and read my blog, you're more than welcome to print off the coupons and send them my way...if you'd like:)

Also, if you have a Cosco near you, their Kirkland brand diapers are really good. I think they're Huggies in disguise. I got two in the mail the other day (don't ask...I sign up for all kinds of stuff...I never know what I'm going to get in my mailbox), and they were awesome. I'm not sure what the price on them are though.

Do you have any diaper buying hints? Let me know if you ever find a diaper bargain...or any other bargain...I'm a little addicted to bargains!

Park with William

We started our day at the park. We had a full day on Thursday, but it was soooo much fun!
Mia and William met us there for lunch! I snapped a bunch of pictures while we were there...of course!

I was working on framing in these two (above and below) for my photography class...yeah, right, I just happened to take them, then said, Hey look, they're framed like she was talking about!

Paul David and his bestest friend, Lovey:
Lovey had to be washed after this park adventure:)

I loved this one of William...even the blur! It shows how fast he was clapping!

Fun fun, now on with our next adventure...

Park with Aiden

We went back to the park to meet Alison and Aiden. We were going to go to their park, but they're redoing it...maybe next time! I'm planning a park tour!

The boys had more fun running on the basketball court:

Aiden got dirt on his hands, and he hates that:

So, so cute!

It was so much fun to catch up with Alison and see how much Aiden has grown! Good times!

Open House

Paul David had his first Open House ever last night! It was so cute! They had two art projects outside in the hall, then some in the classroom. They also had cookies out on the table. Well, gues where Paul David spent most of his time:

He did finally show us the basketball hoop:

He showed us where all the trains that were in the room, too. It was just adorable, the whole thing! It was too funny when the kids would first come in the room. They would just cling to their parents, even though they LOVE coming to school. It was just out of the ordinary to them!
