4th of July Parade

Happy 4th of July Everyone!

From our Family:

Our little town has a cute little 4th of July Parage every year, and this year it was it was not little! It lasted at least an hour and a half! It's always so much fun though because it's mostly kids, and they all dress up and decorate so cute! We were lucky enough to get there pretty early and got a shady spot.

Sarah, Lily and Justin

Paul David and Lily
Trying to get two toddlers to look and smile is useless!

I also wanted to post a picture of Paul David last 4th of July, too! I think it's fun to see the difference from year to year! We're at the same parade, same stroller, almost the same spot!

During the Parade

Paul David just loved all the flags! He sat so well through the entire parade and just took it all in!

His First Flavor-Ice Popsicle!
We ended up with so much stuff from the parade, but the posicles and bottled water were the best!

Another ball! I think we ended up with 5 balls and one hockey puck, 3 flags, 6 bottles of water, 2 popsicles, a balloon, a pom pom, candy, peanuts from Texas Roadhouse and more!

Foster and the Fireworks

Here's cute Foster--it was his First 4th of July!
I think that little mark on his cheek was spaghetti from when Paul David kissed him!

The Fireworks!

As soon as we all started getting ready to go to the fireworks, Paul David grabbed two trains and this flag and went to the front door! He was ready, although I'm sure he didn't have a clue where we were going! He just knew he'd needed the flag all day, so chances were he'd need it tonight!

I love this picture to end the day with...Paul David's yawn says it all! We were tired, but the fireworks were so pretty! The fireworks going off by our house until midnight last night...not so much!

We May Have a Problem...

Paul David has been trying to wear women's clothes lately!

My swimsuit

My T-shirt---luckily he picked the one item of clothing I own that he also owns the match to! I was able to switch them out and he was happy! He didn't really put it on himself...he pulled it off the couch, then started whining and trying to take off his shirt. So I put it on him...for the picture.

Grammy's swimsuit!

I actually know where the swimsuit thing is coming from...we were in Wal-Mart the other day, and I was putting the swimsuits on the hanger over my head to see if they would fit. I guess he saw me doing it because he's been trying it every time he sees that swimsuit in the top picture on the floor. Just FYI, it had to be returned...it was too BIG!

Astros Game Wednesday Night

Here are our pictures from the game Wednesday night!
We had fun because Grammy, Justin, and Carol went with us!

"Whee!"

"Baseballs"

I guess there are 449 baseballs up there...it's the number of career homeruns for Jeff Bagwell. Paul David was in hog heaven with all those balls!

ON THIS DAY

ON THIS DAY IN OUR HISTORY---July 2

2003-5 years ago, I went to Disney World for the first time ever! I went with my sister, brother-in-law and a friend. We had the best time, but boy was it HOT! We were there for 4th of July, too! Huge mistake...it's like one of the busiest day ever at Disney! It was so crowded. We did go to Breakfast with Mickey one morning which was awesome! April was 5 months pregnant with Preston when we went! So cool to have been able to have such a fun time with my sister!

Astros Game-Monday

Monday afternoon, I was getting us ready to go to the Astros Game and came into the living room with my Astros T-Shirt on. Paul David went nuts---"Baseball Game, Baseball Game!" He said it over and over. He went and got a t-shirt off the table that had a baseball on it and started pulling on the one he was wearing. He knew he needed a baseball shirt on, too! I got him dressed, and he grabbed his had and glove, only it was still 30 minutes until our ride came to get us! "Patience is a virture!" By the time everyone got there to get us, he was completely beside himself. He kept going to the front door and yelling! Lesson learned: I won't be getting on an Astros Shirt until 5 minutes before we leave!

Here he is eating his way through the first half of the game! SHHH, that's the secret to getting him to be good...I feed him most of the time we're there!
He had so much fun watching the game though! He stops and claps when everyone else claps! That night he even clapped during "Deep in the Heart of Texas!" So cute!
Paw Paw with his Baseball Boy! The Astros won!
This picture is for my series, "Around Minute Maid Park!" I want to try to get pictures of Paul David with different things in the park besides our seats!

We're going again tonight, so we'll see where around Minute Maid Paul David is tonight!

Just FYI for any of you Astros Baseball fans out there...the 10 games for $20 is on sale again for the 2nd half of the season! That's a pretty good deal if you don't mind sitting in the Upper Deck with us!

Chick Magnet

Friday, Paul and I went with Mike, Sarah, Justin, and Sara to Schlitterbahn in Galveston. We didn't want to take Paul David since it was going to be a long day, so my friends Pam and Shelby kept him, then later our other friend Janet relieved her!
I sent my camera along and here's some pictures they took from his day!

Ooh, the girls love him! That's Shelby on the far right. I had her and Emily (2nd from the left) in Kindergarten 7 years ago! They're 13 now...oh, my!

They took him to a park to play, too! Pam and Janet both said that he was the best baby! So good and never even cried! That's our boy! He is a great kid...and so much fun! Thank you both for helping us yesterday! We really appreciate it!

Our Little Fish

Here are some pictures of Paul David swimming in June! He LOVES the water just like his favorite animal...the fish!

Paul David will swim over to Paul now and say, "Two," which means "Count one, TWO, three, and throw me in the air, Daddy!" For some reason he will only say "two" when he counts. Go figure!

These next two show Paul David without his floaties. He will jump off the second step and swim to us...underwater. Now, it's only for a sec because it's just too scary for me...but when he comes up, you can tell by the way he's holding his mouth that he was holding his breath. If he knows he's going to go under, he comes up just fine...no coughing or anything. He gets "strangled" when he accidentally goes under or someone takes him under without him being ready!

He wore these purple goggles forever that day! I was so surprised! We let him swim like this for awhile, then put the floaties on him and he's off to swim all over the pool...with me close behind!

The Zoo!

I was sitting at my computer thinking, "I haven't posted anything in awhile, but I don't have anything to blog about!" So, I just went to my pictures, and realized I had 3 different events that I haven't written about! So here are 4 new posts for you!

We started Friday at the Houston Zoo! It was hot, but we got there early! We always go see the lion first thing and try to do all the outside stuff first. Then when we get hot, we start going into the air conditioned houses. When we just get too hot or it gets too crowded, we just leave! Oh, the beauty of having a Membership...or my Mother-in-law having a membership!

I thought this picture of Paul David and Justin was too cute! Justin loves to be "in charge" of Paul David and show him things!
I wasn't sure if Paul David would like the water feature in the Children's Zoo, but he ended up LOVING to sit on this turtle! We all got a little wet to help with the heat!
We ended our trip at the Aquarium...oh, Paul David LOVES the Aquarium. "Ish, Ish, Ish" is all you hear! He just runs around pointing at them! So cute! We love going to the zoo, especially when it cools off some, and the animals are actually moving! Sarah and I count it as our exercise for the day, which helps us not care that Justin has us going from one end to the other! It's really not that big anyway!

Keep reading for more posts about this weekend and Tuesday's Astros Game!
