On June 12th, we loaded up and headed west to San Antonio! We were so excited because we were meeting our friends, the Pikkulas, there to go to Sea World! We had gotten season passes when we were there in December, and they had gotten them when they went for Spence's Birthday in November! It was perfect because we had planned to go back for a couple of days this summer! It worked out even better because it was right around Judson and Allie's birthdays, so it was their little celebration, too!!!
Our first stop was Buccee's of course!!!
We met up with the Piks at Whataburger, then we all headed to Sea World together!
The Five Kiddos!
Of course, the Shamu Express was ridden about a million times over the course of the two days!
The Pikkula Kids were a little more adventurous in their ride selection!
We found Franklin there, too!
Judson just loves all these characters and hugs are always in store for them!
Around Mid-Day, we split up so that the Piks could ride on some of the bigger rides that our kids weren't going to ride. The four of us headed to Aquatica, Sea World's Waterpark! We got to spend some time in the Wave Pool, then got in line for Sting Ray Falls. It's a cool raft ride that goes under the sting rays. Well, while we were in line, it started thundering pretty loudly, so they closed it down.
The boys did get to pet the sting rays, though, and they thought that was pretty awesome!
The pools were all still open, so we floated/swam around the lazy river for a bit before they closed it, too! Boo!
By this time it was raining and thundering pretty badly, so we found shelter in a little food place!
The storm seemed pretty bad, though, so we decided when it let up just to head out since it was already 6:00! We headed to the hotel to order pizza and let the kids swim in the indoor pool (which I think they thought was about the coolest thing ever!)
Judson of course crashed as soon as we got in the car!
Our first day was a success and so much fun!
